Description

Loose clusters of exquisite, shell-pink flowers bloom atop tall, slim stems on Amarine ‘Emanuelle’ during September, above a bed of strap-like foliage.

A smart cross between a Nerine and an Amaryllis, this elegant beauty is surprisingly tough - returning year after year in the garden.  The bulbs will multiply in a sunny spot, providing your soil is fertile and well-drained.

A fine flower for cutting, the spidery, lily-like blushing blooms bring a touch of graceful luxury to autumn arrangements and bouquets.

Care Guide

Plant frost hardy Amarine bulbs shallowly in a sunny but sheltered, well-drained location or large container. Ensure the neck of the large bulb sits just above the soil surface, planting 10cm deep and 15cm apart. Soil should remain consistently moist. Slender stems will reach heights of 75cm, each bearing up to 10 exquisite, lily-like flowers. Avoid disturbing the roots once planted, allowing your Amarines to establish themselves. Bulbs can be lifted and divided every few years when clumps become overcrowded.
