English Bluebells In the Green
P5555
Description
The true English Bluebell is a must-have plant for any wild or woodland garden. Gently arching stems carry pendant bells of purple-blue frilled blooms, filling the air with fragrance on warm April days.
This classic spring beauty is easy to grow and will naturalise in humus-rich soil in dappled shade, forming a picture-perfect carpet of blue. The flowers are adored by bees, attracted to the white pollen-dusted stamens by their perfume and vibrant colouring.
A native gem which looks beautiful planted with Primroses and Wood Anemones for a wild and quintessential British look. These Bluebells 'In the Green are already shooting, and arrive in growth and already reaching towards the light.
Strong roots establish quicker, and flowering comes earlier. ‘Bulbs in the Green’ can offer timely success to seasoned gardeners and beginners alike, because growth is visible from the moment you place each plant in the soil.
Care Guide
Your plants will arrive in a bundle, carefully separate them, making sure not to harm the roots and plant preferably within 3 days. Plant as a guide up to where the foliage changes from white to green ,or if this isn’t clear, planting them about 8–10 cm deep is suitable.
Refill the hole, gently firming the soil around the bulbs, then water thoroughly straight after planting.
