Description

Like a snowy peak at the summit of a mountain, Incarvillea ‘Snowtop’ is a flurry of gleaming white. With abundant clusters held aloft on sturdy stems, the pristine petals glimmer against rosettes of deeply divided, fern-like leaves. The trumpet-shaped blooms flare outwards, giving a glimpse of their golden centre. Drought tolerant and effortless to grow on well-drained soil, this floriferous variety is a graceful addition to rock gardens, herbaceous borders, and containers. Incarvillea are a marvellous stop-gap in the window between spring bulbs and summer perennials. As a bonus, the cool-white blooms of ‘Snowtop’ make superb cut flowers for filling bud vases.

Care Guide

Can be grown in pots or planted directly into garden borders, thriving in a sunny location.

Plant the tubers upwards, with the thinner part just under the surface of your soil, 30cm apart.

Grows well in all soil types.  We recommend adding organic matter such as leaf mould or compost to heavy clay soils prior to planting.

Water regularly, allowing the soil to dry out between watering.

May need lifting in colder regions and storing in a greenhouse or conservatory for the winter months.
