Description

Anemone Flowering Dahlia 'Lifestyle' is an unusual two-toned dahlia, ‘Lifestyle’ is compact enough not to require staking and is ideal for large summer containers.

Featuring a circle of soft-lavender pink petals surrounding a ruffled golden centre, the stylish double-flowers measuring 12 cm, are perfect for adding soft fresh colour to the garden. You can also cut and weave into seasonal floral displays.

Appears sensational near the front of an autumn border next to pollinator-friendly collarette dahlia ‘Kelsey Annie Joy’ and backed by decorative dahlia ‘Thomas A. Edison’ for a striking tonal display, perfect for eking out an Indian summer.

Attracting bees, butterflies and pollinators, anemone-flowering dahlia's ‘Lifestyle' height of 90 cm makes it a perfect choice also for garden borders, flowering for months on end.

They thrive in rich soil, and an application of well rotted manure is most beneficial for these powder puff dahlias.

de Jager's Dahlia Anemone Flowering 'Lifestyle' top size, top quaility tubers are supplied polythene bags, in which they may be safely kept until planting time, stored in a cool place.

Care Guide

To grow Dahlias, select a sunny spot with well-drained soil, and dig a 30cm deep hole. Plant the tuber 10cm below the soil surface, spacing multiple tubers 45cm apart, or 90cm for taller varieties. Water consistently, maintaining moist but not saturated soil and protect new shoots from slug damage with eco-friendly methods. Feed plants during the blooming period with liquid plant food. Provide support for stems which will reach 60-90cm tall depending on variety. Enjoy spectacular blooms from late summer until first frosts. Cut or deadhead the flowers regularly for a continually flourishing display. Once blooming has finished, cut back foliage before lifting, drying and storing the tubers in peat-free substitute, in a frost-free place until the following spring.
