Description
From July to October, striking Pompom Dahlia ‘Viking’ introduces a luxurious splash of red to garden borders and containers. A compact ball of perfect velvety marron-red petals form each spectacular flowerhead. Admire the exceptional beauty at close proximity by displaying a single stem in a petite bud vase.
This bobbing pompom dahlia 'Viking' looks most at home next to fellow gemstone colours, enhanced with lush green foliage. Add rich, velvety spheres to garden and floral designs with this fine dahlia, which grows to a mature height of 100cm.
de Jager's top size, top quality dahlia tubers are supplied polythene bags, in which they may be safely kept until planting time, stored in a cool place.
Care Guide
To grow Dahlias, select a sunny spot with well-drained soil, and dig a 30cm deep hole. Plant the tuber 10cm below the soil surface, spacing multiple tubers 45cm apart, or 90cm for taller varieties. Water consistently, maintaining moist but not saturated soil and protect new shoots from slug damage with eco-friendly methods. Feed plants during the blooming period with liquid plant food. Provide support for stems which will reach 60-90cm tall depending on variety. Enjoy spectacular blooms from late summer until first frosts. Cut or deadhead the flowers regularly for a continually flourishing display. Once blooming has finished, cut back foliage before lifting, drying and storing the tubers in peat-free substitute, in a frost-free place until the following spring.

Begonia 'Crispa Marginata Yellow' is a vibrant and impactful begonia perfect for a summer garden. Golden-yellow petals with red ruffled edges, and blooms that can reach up to 10 cm in diameter with dark green foliage. Our begonias flower for months on end, from May until at least September.
Begonias thrive best in light soil which is rich in leaf-mould, in a position in part shade where the layered flowers shimmer as they catch the light. Start in March or April, preferably in a cold frame or greenhouse.
Fill pots, hanging baskets, window-boxes, and borders with Crispa Marginata Yellow begonias for a show-stopping display. They can reach a flowering height of up to 20-30 cm.
