Alstroemeria Cahors
M6003
Description
Bearing clusters of numerous rose-pink funnel-shaped flowers on tall stems, Alstroemeria ‘Cahors’ makes an excellent cut flower and is brilliant for brightening borders with its rich, sunny tones.
The long-lasting flowers are adored by pollinators and feature pretty magenta-pink freckles and yellow speckled throat on their upper and lower petals. Long, curved stamens give an exotic look to the lily-shaped blooms which appear from June to October.
A hardy and exquisitely beautiful Peruvian lily, Alstroemeria ‘Cahors’ has been granted an Award of Garden Merit from the RHS for its flawless looks and faultless performance.
Care Guide
For thriving Alstroemeria, choose a sunny location with well-drained, light soil. Plant rhizomes 10-15 cm deep and 30 cm apart. Maintain consistent moisture, ensuring the soil remains damp. A profusion of multi-headed, vibrant blooms appear between June and October which are long-lasting and excellent for cutting. Top dress in spring and once again during the growing season. Shorter varieties are excellent for container planting.
