Producing not one, but two flower stems per bulb, Allium ‘Moly’ is a petite, yet impactful summer allium in sunshine yellow.
Dainty, star-shaped flowers top wiry stems in clusters and are adored by bees and hoverflies. Useful for cutting for smaller, delicate arrangements and pretty bud vases, the flowers will last a week or longer in the vase. Allium ‘Moly’ has been granted an Award of Garden Merit from the RHS for its exceptional qualities.
Plant the bulbs in groups near the front of a perennial border as a sunny, golden trim to illuminate garden edges.
Top size bulbs by de Jager in 9 cm pots, ready to be sent out in early February.
Plant in rich, well-drained soil.
The larger bulbs should be planted 10cm (4”) deep and the smaller ones 5cm (2”) deep; they may be left undisturbed for many years.
