Bringing a blaze of bold colour, Narcissus ‘Jetfire’ delivers a flash of vivid yellow and orange to invigorate any spring display. The cylindrical, glowing cadmium crown is like a stream of flames on a jet pack, launching your garden into a new season. With its swept-back, strongly reflexed petals, this striking daffodil has the pleasing appearance of dashing somewhere in a hurry.
This terrific, vigorous narcissus is ideal for enlivening lawns and borders, where it will readily naturalise, and for bringing intensity to containers. ‘Daffodil Jetfire’ has a delicate scent and has been granted an RHS Award of Garden Merit as a first-rate performer.
Top size bulbs by de Jager in 9 cm pots, ready to be sent out in early February.
Plant Daffodil and Narcissi bulbs in autumn, ideally in early October to enable roots to establish before a period of cold in winter.
A position in full sun or light shade is best and good drainage is essential. Daffodils and Narcissi are long lasting and naturalise well, providing a welcoming display every spring.
Ideal for borders, containers, rock gardens and open grass.
Plant the bulbs 10-20cm deep and apart, depending on variety. A good rule of thumb is to plant bulbs 2-3 times their depth.
Flowers appear in March and April and should be deadheaded once faded. The foliage should be left to turn yellow and fade naturally on the plant as this helps to feed the bulbs for next year’s blooms.

Spirited and exuberant, Asiatic Lily ‘Red Highland’ is like a floral Highland fling, jigging and reeling through the summer months. One of the earliest lilies to flower, the plump, elongated buds burst open to reveal a blaze of scarlet blooms. The fiery petals are set against verdant leaves, in a red-and-green colour combination like a classic tartan.
With sturdy stems reaching up to 100 cm, this asiatic lilium 'Red HIghland' is an eye-catching addition to the backs of your borders. Bearing up to seven blooms per stem, this bountiful variety makes an exquisite cut flower, creating an entire bouquet with just a few snips of your secateurs.
All lilies love the sun, especially in the morning, but need well-drained soil. Mulch around the base to protect bulbs and retain moisture for healthy, vibrant blooms.
