Description

The Most Fun You Can Have with Six Bishops and a Trowel.

Blessed are the Petal-Rich

Your borders may not need more colour – perhaps they need authority. Swagger. Plants which arrive like they has been announced by trumpeters. Enter six Bishops, robed in fire, velvet, and outrageous flamboyance.

Bishop of Auckland

Crimson flowers lift from smoky bronze foliage, giving the border a deep rhythm only bold blooms create. Auckland carries vibrant intensity, and subtle allure when daily sunlight brushes each flower.

Bishop of Canterbury

Rose-violet petals float above dusky leaves and cast a gentle hush across your borders. Canterbury brings romantic colour, calm presence, and a quiet grace you can feel during evenings when colour softens, and everything feels closer.

Bishop of Leicester

Baby-pink blooms rise over dark foliage sending a comforting steady glow through your flower beds offering mellow radiance, gentle character, and a welcome soothing colour as the days warm.

Bishop of Llandaff

Vermillion-red blooms burst above shadowed foliage and stream bold energy across the part of your garden which does the showing off. Llandaff introduces a striking red presence you see immediately and admire during bright summer mornings, always alive with promise.

Bishop of Oxford

Apricot hued petals flare above coppery foliage offering  warming constant colour, rising gently through your summer blooms. Oxford brings radiance, assurance, and a vivid personality to enjoy in the hot endless afternoons.

Bishop of York

Golden yellow petals open above bronze and purple-tinged  leaves, casting a welcoming shimmer amongst your other plants. York give uplifting light, bright charm, and a graceful tone you will cherish as evenings settle and a cooling summer breeze drifts across your garden.

Summon the Bishops. They will bless your borders, outshine your neighbours, and cause precisely the summer display your garden’s been craving. 1 each of the above varieties. Whilst stocks last.

Care Guide

To grow Dahlias, select a sunny spot with well-drained soil, and dig a 30 cm deep hole. Plant the tuber 10 cm below the soil surface, spacing multiple tubers 45 cm apart, or 90 cm for taller varieties. Water consistently, maintaining moist but not saturated soil and protect new shoots from slug damage with eco-friendly methods. Feed plants during the blooming period with liquid plant food. Provide support for stems which will reach 60-90 cm tall depending on variety. Enjoy spectacular blooms from late summer until first frosts. Cut or deadhead the flowers regularly for a continually flourishing display. Once blooming has finished, cut back foliage before lifting, drying and storing the tubers in peat-free substitute, in a frost-free place until the following spring.
