Arisaema Speciosum
M6033
Description
Originating from the Eastern Himalayas, Arisaema ‘Speciosum’ is a spectacular, exotic plant which looks as though it belongs on another planet – but you can grow it in your garden!
Arisaema are often called the ‘Cobra Lily’ due to the distinctive, hooded, serpentine shape of their inflorescens. Striped by bands of oxblood red interspersed with veins of pale green, the hood gradually unfurls to reveal a prominent spadix.
Spreading above the unusual flowers, broad, ornamental leaves are held on thick, mottled stems, creating a structural statement with their architectural form. An astonishing focal point for a damp, shady part of your garden.
