Known as the common, single snowdrop, Galanthus nivalis puts on a reliable and unmissable display in the garden year after year.
Flowering when little else dares to break soil in January, this pretty and dainty snowdrop stands just 15cm tall. Simply enchanting growing in swathes and groups through grass and beneath trees.
This wild species snowdrop holds a prestigious Award of Garden Merit from the RHS for garden excellence, beauty and health and is a steadfast, top choice for gardeners.
The bulbs are quick to establish in sun or shade and will naturalise with ease in any moist, well-drained soil. These Snowdrops 'In the Green' are already shooting, and arrive in growth and already reaching towards the light.
Strong roots establish quicker, and flowering comes earlier. ‘Bulbs in the Green’ can offer timely success to seasoned gardeners and beginners alike, because growth is visible from the moment you place each plant in the soil.
They prefer moist humus-rich soil.
Plant 8-10cm (3-4”) deep, 8-10cm (3-4”) apart. Plant in clumps 8cm (3”) deep in shade or semi-shade.
Do not disturb until you want to split the clumps, which is best done when the foliage is still lush.

Arisaema 'Sikokianum', one of the most iconic and instantly recognisable cobra lilies. This rare Japanese species produces one of the most striking flowers, a deep purple-black hood wrapped around a perfectly pure white, domed spadix. The contrast is unbelievable and instantly makes this plant a collector’s favourite.
Growing from a hardy corm, it returns reliably each spring with glossy green divided leaves and its iconic, sculptural bloom. An investment for the garden, but who would not be impressed with the marshmallow-like shape that protrudes from the spathe.
Arisaema 'Sikokianum', is an architectural beauty, rare, enduring, unforgettable.
