Hippeastrum Sonatinii Eyecatcher
M5531
Description
Hippeastrum Sonatinii Eyecatcher.
Small orange flowers with whtie centres.
Care Guide
This new variety of Hippeastrum is fully hardy and therefore suitable for planting outside in pots and borders.
Choose a sunny or semi-shaded spot with well-drained soil. Plant bulbs 15cm apart with their necks sitting slightly above the surface level of the soil.
Water sparingly until leaves start to develop. Keep moist during the growing season and feed with balanced liquid fertiliser every two weeks.
Large, trumpet-shaped blooms flower on tall, strong stems 40-60cm tall during June and July.
Allow blooms to fade and foliage to die back naturally which will help to feed the bulb for next year’s flowers.
Mulch the soil around your Hippeastrum for added winter protection.
