Kaufmanniana Tulips Two-Tone Mixture
T1080
Description
Our Kaufmanniana Tulip ‘Two-Tone Mixture’ is a perfect pairing of head-turning tulip varieties, ‘Showwinner’ and ‘Stresa’, to provide a spectacle of vivid, eye-catching colour. These two wonderful companions flower at exactly the same time for an abundant display. The sunshine yellow base of ‘Stresa’ offsets its crimson stripes, which complement and enrich the similarly scarlet petals of ‘Showwinner’.
The brilliance of these blooms is enhanced by ornamental, striped foliage. Both outstanding varieties flaunt an RHS Award of Garden Merit as proof of their reliable performance. Create a phenomenal display in your window boxes, containers, rockeries, and borders with this bold duo, bringing exuberance early in the season year after year.
Care Guide
October to November are the optimum months for planting Tulip bulbs. The cooler late-autumn temperatures help to keep disease at bay, whilst still allowing time for your bulbs to put roots down before spring.
Any well-drained, fertile soil is perfect for Tulips, ideally in full sun or part shade. Plant the bulbs 10-20 cm deep, spaced 10-20 cm apart. A piece of chicken wire or mesh can be placed on top of the soil or pots after planting if squirrels or rodents are a problem in your area.
After flowering in March to May, remove withered stems, foliage and any fallen petals to promote good plant health and apply a top dressing of high-potash fertiliser in late winter.

Dordogne
T1676
Tulip ‘Dordogne’ is the recipient of a prestigious Award of Garden Merit from the RHS, and it is easy to see the reason when you observe the spectacular blooms in late spring.
These French tulips feature impressively large, goblet-shaped flowers in warm shades of tropical colour. Tangerine petals are flushed with rich raspberry-pink, and the heart of these exquisite blooms seems to have a fiery red glow as the petals unfold in the heat of the sun.
Long stems and an extended vase life make May-flowering tulip ‘Dordogne’ brilliant for cutting.

Delft Blue
H2851
Exquisitely scented, star-shaped florets of soft-blue smother the stems of Hyacinth ‘Delft Blue,’ as they burst into bloom, indoors at Christmastime.
Delft Blue holds a prestigious Award of Garden Merit from the RHS for its exceptional qualities.
These specially prepared bulbs are designed to flower during the darkest depths of winter, when colour and scent are most welcome in the home.
Despatched in September, the bulbs should be planted shallowly in bowls or containers, with the green tip and section of bulb above soil level.
Hyacinth ‘Delft Blue’ is also ideal for forcing in water. Place each prepared bulb in the top of a hyacinth vase, with the base sitting above, but not touching water level. Roots will rapidly form, seeking out the water below.
For Christmas flowers, keep your containers in a cool, dark place until the beginning of December when they can be brought out into the light.
de Jager's top quality, top size bulbs really make a huge difference in terms of flowering.

Greenland
T1503
Viridiflora Tulip ‘Greenland’, sometimes referred to as ‘Groenland’, features a soft chalice shape and longer stems than many viridiflora tulip varieties making this one of the best for cutting.
The cupped flowers bloom in a pretty colour arrangement of rose-pink petals with a fresh green sweep along each centre.
Viridiflora tulips are known for being long-lasting in the garden, returning in late spring every year with their annual show of blooms.
Both in the vase and in the garden, tulip ‘Greenland’ combines beautifully with pastel pink and lilac shades as well as richer pinks and purples.
