Hermodactylus

Hermodactylus tuberosus is a distinct and fascinating species in cultivation since 1575, often known as the ‘Snake’s Head Iris’ or ‘Widow Iris’. The fairly large upright flowers are an unusual olive-green shade with dark, almost black velvety purple falls, occasionally streaked with yellow or bright green, creating a truly striking spring display.
