Description

Large Trumpet Daffodil ‘Pistachio’ brings a refined and unusual touch to the spring garden, with soft lemon petals surrounding a beautifully shaded trumpet that deepens from creamy tones to rich buttery yellow. The elegant colouring of large trumpet daffodil ‘Pistachio’ creates a fresh citrus-like glow through March and April, offering subtle sophistication while still making a striking seasonal statement.

Perfect for formal beds, mixed borders, containers, or naturalised lawns, this distinctive variety blends effortlessly with whites, primroses, and softer spring bulbs. Reliable and long flowering, it is also a proud holder of the RHS Award of Garden Merit.

Care Guide

Plant Daffodil and Narcissi bulbs in autumn, ideally in mid September to early October to enable roots to establish before a period of cold in winter.

A position in full sun or light shade is best and good drainage is essential. Daffodils and Narcissi are long lasting and naturalise well, providing a welcoming display every spring.

Ideal for borders, containers, rock gardens and open grass.

Plant the bulbs 10-20 cm deep and apart, depending on variety. A good rule of thumb is to plant bulbs 2-3 times their depth.

Flowers appear in March and April and should be deadheaded once faded. The foliage should be left to turn yellow and fade naturally on the plant as this helps to feed the bulbs for next year’s blooms.
