Description
Like a sweep of scarlet lipstick paired with a winning smile, the brilliant, vermillion blooms of Species Tulip ‘Linfolia’ are sure to turn heads. Flaunting a coveted RHS Award of Garden Merit for its consistently high performance in the garden, this enthralling species tulip' Linfolia' naturalises eagerly to form bold clumps. This crimson femme fatale will be a striking addition to rockeries, lawns, borders, and container displays.
Care Guide
October to November are the optimum months for planting Tulip bulbs. The cooler late-autumn temperatures help to keep disease at bay, whilst still allowing time for your bulbs to put roots down before spring.
Any well-drained, fertile soil is perfect for Tulips, ideally in full sun or part shade. Plant the bulbs 10-20 cm deep, spaced 10-20 cm apart. A piece of chicken wire or mesh can be placed on top of the soil or pots after planting if squirrels or rodents are a problem in your area.
After flowering in March to May, remove withered stems, foliage and any fallen petals to promote good plant health and apply a top dressing of high-potash fertiliser in late winter.
