Paeony Flowering Tulip Two Tone Mix
T1811
Description
Paeony Flowering Tulip ‘Two-Tone Mixture’ combines the rich colours of tulip ‘Yellow Pomponette’ and tulip ‘Sun Lover’ to create a vibrant late-spring display full of warmth and texture. The full peony-like blooms bring glowing shades of yellow, orange, and golden apricot to borders, patio pots, and seasonal planting schemes, creating a lively and luxurious garden effect.
Flowering on sturdy stems through late spring, this beautifully balanced mixture offers long-lasting colour and dramatic floral form.
Care Guide
October to November are the optimum months for planting Tulip bulbs. The cooler late-autumn temperatures help to keep disease at bay, whilst still allowing time for your bulbs to put roots down before spring.
Any well-drained, fertile soil is perfect for Tulips, ideally in full sun or part shade. Plant the bulbs 10-20 cm deep, spaced 10-20 cm apart. A piece of chicken wire or mesh can be placed on top of the soil or pots after planting if squirrels or rodents are a problem in your area.
After flowering in March to May, remove withered stems, foliage and any fallen petals to promote good plant health and apply a top dressing of high-potash fertiliser in late winter.
