May Flowering Tulip Ronaldo
T1735
Description
A luxurious may-flowering tulip, ‘Ronaldo’ brings an air of mystical glamour to garden beds and containers when it blooms in May. The deep maroon flowers have a silken sheen to their surfaces and the pointed, slightly ribbed petals form almost-double heads.
Strong stems and long-lasting blooms mean tulip ‘Ronaldo’ is a reliable, yet exquisite addition to the garden, and is magnificent as a cut flower.
Mixes well with all colour shades, from soft blushing apricot to rich reds and bright pinks.
Care Guide
October to November are the optimum months for planting Tulip bulbs. The cooler late-autumn temperatures help to keep disease at bay, whilst still allowing time for your bulbs to put roots down before spring.
Any well-drained, fertile soil is perfect for Tulips, ideally in full sun or part shade. Plant the bulbs 10-20 cm deep, spaced 10-20 cm apart. A piece of chicken wire or mesh can be placed on top of the soil or pots after planting if squirrels or rodents are a problem in your area.
After flowering in March to May, remove withered stems, foliage and any fallen petals to promote good plant health and apply a top dressing of high-potash fertiliser in late winter.

Collection 4
T2004
Velvety, almost-black mid season tulip ‘Paul Scherer’ is set off beautifully by his pretty fringed companion fringed tulip ‘Huis Ten Bosch’ in this artful collection. In fact, you could say this pair are a match made in heaven.
The soft pink and ivory colouring and feathered texture of tulip ‘Huis Ten Bosch’ is amplified by RHS award-winning ‘Paul Scherer’s’ dark and moody looks, and simplified, classic tulip shape.
Both bloom in April to May and are excellent flowers for cutting and adding dynamic colour and interesting shape to late spring bouquets and arrangements.
Each collection contains 10 of each variety, each individually bagged and labelled. -
Ogene
T1474
A new and beautifully fresh-looking Fringed Tulip, ‘Ogene’ will add warmth to your spring garden with its sunset colours. Pretty petals of gently streaked blushing-orange are fringed with rich yellow.
For a striking, tonal combination, mix up and plant the bulbs together in a sunny spot with fragrant lily-flowering tulip ‘Ballerina’ and wildly colourful ‘Apricot Parrot’ which will give you a long-lasting display in April and May.
Tulip 'Ogene' is wonderful for cutting and arranging in a large vase, bringing spring sunshine and joy indoors.

Foxtrot
T1258
With multi-layered petals of multi-tonal pinks, the soft, silken blooms of Early Double ‘Foxtrot’ range from pale peach blossom through to deep rose. The classic ballroom dance of the same name is characterised by smooth, flowing movements: likewise, this tulip brings effortless poise and grace to your garden.
Blessed with all the lavish beauty of a peony, this Double Early variety has the advantage of an immediate, floriferous display at the beginning of spring. Sturdy stems, large blooms and a compact habit make tulip ‘Foxtrot’ ideal for window boxes, containers and edging borders.
