The Mid-season Tulip' Librije' impresses with large lavender flowers edged with pure white. Soft, pastel lavender is both soothing and elegant, whilst the crisp white edges add a touch of refinement.
These tulips stand out with generous blooms, creating a serene and sophisticated garden display. Tulip 'Librije' gentle coloration and graceful form make them ideal for adding a touch of understated luxury to any planting scheme.
October to November are the optimum months for planting Tulip bulbs. The cooler late-autumn temperatures help to keep disease at bay, whilst still allowing time for your bulbs to put roots down before spring.
Any well-drained, fertile soil is perfect for Tulips, ideally in full sun or part shade. Plant the bulbs 10-20 cm deep, spaced 10-20 cm apart. A piece of chicken wire or mesh can be placed on top of the soil or pots after planting if squirrels or rodents are a problem in your area.
After flowering in March to May, remove withered stems, foliage and any fallen petals to promote good plant health and apply a top dressing of high-potash fertiliser in late winter.
