Paeony Flowering Tulip ‘Copper Image’ appears as though forged in flame, with petals in rich hues of aged copper and warm orange unfurling into beautifully full peony-like blooms. The luxurious flowers of tulip ‘Copper Image’ deepen and improve with each passing day, holding their colour and form well into late May.
Best displayed in deep pots, feature containers, or richly planted borders, this striking variety brings warmth, texture, and dramatic elegance to the spring garden. Where other tulips whisper, this one truly smoulders — a flower with heat in its heart.
Care Guide
October to November are the optimum months for planting Tulip bulbs. The cooler late-autumn temperatures help to keep disease at bay, whilst still allowing time for your bulbs to put roots down before spring.
Any well-drained, fertile soil is perfect for Tulips, ideally in full sun or part shade. Plant the bulbs 10-20 cm deep, spaced 10-20 cm apart. A piece of chicken wire or mesh can be placed on top of the soil or pots after planting if squirrels or rodents are a problem in your area.
After flowering in March to May, remove withered stems, foliage and any fallen petals to promote good plant health and apply a top dressing of high-potash fertiliser in late winter.
