Eremurus Himalaicus
M5312
Description
Exquisite, snowy spires rising up to 1.5m tall, bloom during June and July on stately Eremurus ‘Himalaicus’. Pretty, star-shaped, white florets with golden anthers open from the base of the flowering spike upwards. The stems are excellent for cutting, adding an elegant, sweeping flourish to large-scale arrangements.
These showy plants, known as Fox Tail Lilies, are a fantastic investment for the garden. Not only are the flowers long-lasting when they bloom, the bulbs will multiply once settled, flowering for years to come in full sun and well-drained, light soil. Best placed in the centre or towards the back of a large garden border.
This unusual pure white Eremurus ‘Himalaicus’ variety is particularly effective in a timeless white and green planting scheme and looks great with summer blues and lilac shades.
Care Guide
Grow aristocratic Eremurus in a sunny, well-drained site with light soil. Add a bed of sand to the planting hole if you garden on heavy soil. Plant the tuberous, spider-like roots 8-10 cm deep, spaced 30-60 cm apart in the earth. Place in groups of 3 or 5 for impact.
Provide consistent watering, ensuring the soil remains moderately moist particularly during dry spells of weather and whilst the roots settle in.
During winter, mulch the area around Foxtail lilies with leaf mould to enrich the soil and add protection against harsh weather.

Quamash
M5204
Camassia ‘Quamash’ produces striking spikes of brilliant-blue flowers from a bed of narrow foliage during May and June.
Perfect for naturalising in meadow and woodland areas, this bewitching beauty also adds a pop of colour to informal, mixed borders in contemporary and traditional gardens. The bulbs are happy in damp soil and dappled shade, as well as in full sun.
Elegant Camassias make great cut flowers, thanks to their straight, slender stems and long-lasting spires of star-shaped blooms. Camassia ‘Quamash’ is more petite than some cultivars, standing 35cm tall, yet is still useful for adding a delicate flourish of blue to floral arrangements and vases.

Elwesii
M5441
The greater snowdrop, Galanthus Elwesii is a strong and robust variety which naturalises easily and can be relied on for years to come in the garden. Stems of single white flowers, up to 15cm tall, bloom in January and February and are a welcome sign of spring when little else is blooming outdoors.
Snow-white, snowdrop Galanthus Elwesii pointed petals hang downwards, beneath which emerald-green markings of the inner segments can just be seen. If spring arrives early with a spell of warm, sunny days, the flowers may be fleeting and will last longer during a period of extended cold weather.
A delicate, yet extremely hardy cultivar which has been granted an Award of Garden Merit by the RHS.
