Description
More & More – 6 bulbs size 6/+. A small Jonquilla producing deep yellow, multi-headed flowers, with up to four stems from a single bulb and as many as four flowers on each stem. Flowering in May at around 20cm, the name makes rather more sense once you see how much one bulb can produce.
Sun Disc - 6 bulbs, size 12/14. A compact 15cm Jonquilla with beautifully rounded, straw-yellow flowers centred by a small, deeper golden eye. At de Jager describe Sun Disc as “one of the most perfect of all daffodils” and it has an ability to increase rapidly.
Sailboat - 6 bulbs, size 12/14. A long-flowering dwarf narcissus producing up to three white-and-yellow flowers per stem, with the colouring gradually softening towards cream. Around 30cm tall and carrying an RHS Recommended: Award of Garden Merit, Sailboat is particularly good in pots and can produce many stems from each bulb.
Blushing Lady - 6 bulbs, size 14/16. One of the more unusual colour changing narcissi in the collection: pale yellow petals mature towards white while the ruffled cup develops from soft peach towards coral. Each 35cm stem can carry up to three scented flowers, appearing in April and extending the narcissus season into mid-spring.
Toto - 6 bulbs, size 10/12. A diminutive 20cm narcissus with pearly, star-shaped white flowers and a creamy-yellow trumpet which gradually fades towards white. Each sturdy stem can carry up to three flowers, and its resilience and versatility have earned Toto an RHS Recommended Award of Garden Merit.
Lieke - 6 bulbs, size 12/14. A later-flowering Jonquilla reaching around 35cm, with up to two neat white flowers per stem surrounding small lemon-yellow cups. Scented, long-lasting and suitable for cutting, Lieke brings a cleaner white-and-lemon combination to the collection.
Pueblo – 6 bulbs, size 14/16. Pueblo opens as a pale bicolour before maturing towards white, producing delicate white flowers with creamy centres and two or three blooms per stem. We believe this scented Jonquilla is vigorous and has long-lasting flowers. Another RHS Recommended Award of Garden Merit holder.
Care Guide
Plant Daffodil and Narcissi bulbs in autumn, ideally in mid September to early October to enable roots to establish before a period of cold in winter.
A position in full sun or light shade is best and good drainage is essential. Daffodils and Narcissi are long lasting and naturalise well, providing a welcoming display every spring.
Ideal for borders, containers, rock gardens and open grass.
Plant the bulbs 10-20 cm deep and apart, depending on variety. A good rule of thumb is to plant bulbs 2-3 times their depth.
Flowers appear in March and April and should be deadheaded once faded. The foliage should be left to turn yellow and fade naturally on the plant as this helps to feed the bulbs for next year’s blooms.
