Description

The vibrant, extroverted sister of ‘Cheerfulness’, Tazetta Narcissi ‘Yellow Cheerfulness’ matches the original for beauty, whilst bringing a dash of extra vivacity with its brilliant colouring. Ruffled, golden, double blooms are gathered into miniature bouquets of up to 4 flowers at the end of each sturdy stem. This outgoing, versatile variety brings a sunshine glow to borders, lawns, rockeries, and containers.

With a notably sweet scent, this Tazetta also makes an exceptional cut flower, and a splendid choice for forcing in planters indoors.Tazetta Narcissi ‘Yellow Cheerfulness’ exhibits an esteemed RHS Award of Garden Merit, proving it to be every bit as commendable as its much-admired forebear.

Care Guide

Plant Daffodil and Narcissi bulbs in autumn, ideally in mid September to early October to enable roots to establish before a period of cold in winter.

A position in full sun or light shade is best and good drainage is essential. Daffodils and Narcissi are long lasting and naturalise well, providing a welcoming display every spring.

Ideal for borders, containers, rock gardens and open grass.

Plant the bulbs 10-20 cm deep and apart, depending on variety. A good rule of thumb is to plant bulbs 2-3 times their depth.

Flowers appear in March and April and should be deadheaded once faded. The foliage should be left to turn yellow and fade naturally on the plant as this helps to feed the bulbs for next year’s blooms.
