Our pre-selected, kaleidoscopic colour palette will ensure that your display is a masterpiece this spring. These soft, ruffled tulips resemble peonies, with innumerable layers of supple petals forming plush, pillowy blooms.
Early double tulip varieties are the perfect choice for bedding, window boxes and containers, with sturdy stems to withstand the worst of the British weather. Luxurious and long-lasting, these gorgeous tulips will bring joy for weeks on end.
Care Guide
October to November are the optimum months for planting Tulip bulbs. The cooler late-autumn temperatures help to keep disease at bay, whilst still allowing time for your bulbs to put roots down before spring.
Any well-drained, fertile soil is perfect for Tulips, ideally in full sun or part shade. Plant the bulbs 10-20 cm deep, spaced 10-20 cm apart. A piece of chicken wire or mesh can be placed on top of the soil or pots after planting if squirrels or rodents are a problem in your area.
After flowering in March to May, remove withered stems, foliage and any fallen petals to promote good plant health and apply a top dressing of high-potash fertiliser in late winter.
