Prepared Christmas Hyacinth White Pearl
H2854
Description
A classic and timeless spring bloom - Hyacinth ‘White Pearl’ is a popular bulb for forcing, bringing heady scent and natural freshness into the home with their ruffled ivory spikes.
These specially prepared bulbs have been treated to flower indoors at Christmastime, if potted up in September and kept in a cool, dark space until early December when they can be moved into their final position to be enjoyed. Plant the bulbs in a container such as a basket or bowl with the top third of the bulb showing above soil level.
Hyacinth ‘White Pearl’ can also be forced in water. Place a prepared bulb in the top of a hyacinth vase, with the base sitting just above, but not touching the water level. Roots will rapidly form, seeking out hydration below before glossy stems elongate and burst into flower.
de Jager's top quality, top size bulbs really make a huge difference in terms of flowering.
Care Guide
They like a light, well-drained soil situated in a sunny and sheltered part of the garden. Plant 12 cm deep, 15cm apart.
