Fritillaria Persica Purple Favorite
M5410
Description
Fritillaria persica ‘Purple Favorite’ produces tall, upright stems carrying up to thirty deep purple flowers in elegant cascading formation. The richly coloured blooms of Fritillaria persica ‘Purple Favorite’ create a bold architectural effect in spring borders, adding height, drama, and striking contrast among fresh green foliage and lighter companion plants.
Strong-stemmed and beautifully structured, this impressive variety thrives in sunny, well-drained positions where its dark, sophisticated colouring can be fully appreciated. Ideal for contemporary planting schemes and feature displays, it brings lasting impact and refinement to the spring garden.
Care Guide
Failing to flower after the first year is due to a lack of potash fertiliser, which is necessary for spurring bloom formation for the following year’s flowering.
Plant large bulbs 15 cm deep and small bulbs 8 cm deep, in well-drained soil.
Plant bulbs on their side to prevent water getting into the hollow crown.

Sweetheart
T1128
The delectable blooms of Fosteriana Tulip ‘Sweetheart’ look fit to be displayed in the window of a patisserie – like luscious lemon tarts piped with a meringue swirl, the zesty yellow petals are edged by sugar white feathering. Although not edible, these tulips are certainly a visual treat.
The sherbet blooms make an invigorating addition to borders and containers, appearing early in the season to pep up your spring display. As cut flowers, they make a delightful Easter bouquet or floral arrangement. This tulip 'Sweetheart' is robust and vigorous despite its delicate appearance, with a long flowering window and a perennial habit.

Woodstock
H2518
Hyacinth ‘Woodstock’ is an opulent and expressive variety, producing deep bishop’s purple flower spikes with one of the darkest hues available in hyacinths. Richly coloured and heavily scented, it brings dramatic impact to spring borders, containers, and formal displays.
Its bold tones pair especially well with yellow varieties for striking visual contrast, while the strong stems of exhibition hyacinth Woodstock blooms ensure an impressive and reliable garden performance year after year.

Purple Sensation
H2858
Hyacinth ‘Purple Sensation’ bears densely clustered stems of rich amethyst florets.
The charming flowers emit a heady fragrance as they bloom in mid-winter – a time when spring flowers, colour and scent are such a charming addition to the home.
These specially prepared bulbs have been treated to flower indoors at Christmastime, if potted up in September and kept in a dark, cool room until early December when they can be moved into their final position to be enjoyed.
New Hyacinth ‘Purple Sensation’ is also perfect for forcing in water. Place each prepared bulb in the top of a hyacinth vase, with the base sitting just above, but not touching water level. Roots will rapidly appear, seeking out the water below before stems elongate and burst into flower.
de Jager's top quality, top size bulbs really make a huge difference in terms of flowering.
