Leucojum Aestivum
M5713
Description
Leucojum 'Aestivum', known as the summer snowflake, graces gardens with pristine white blooms tipped with a touch of green. Flowering in May, these charming, bell-shaped flowers dangle elegantly from sturdy stems, creating a serene, woodland ambiance.
Ideal for moist, shaded areas, Leucojum Aestivum thrives in naturalised settings, bringing a delicate beauty which evokes the freshness of spring, even as summer begins to unfold.
Care Guide
The Leucojum aestivum is an exceptionally hardy (RHS H7) perennial that thrives in full sun or partial shade. Plant the bulbs in autumn from September to November, setting them 8–10cm deep and 8–10cm apart in moist, well-drained soil. Keep the soil consistently damp during spring growth, and allow the foliage to die back naturally after flowering to nourish the next year's blooms.
