Early Double Tulip ‘Two Tone Mixture’ combines the elegant blooms of tulip ‘Foxtrot’ and tulip ‘Foxy Foxtrot’ for a beautifully balanced spring display filled with soft blush, warm apricot, and creamy pastel tones. The lush double flowers create a luxurious peony-like effect, bringing texture, colour, and gentle fragrance to borders, containers, and patio pots.
Flowering early in the season, this harmonious tulip mixture offers excellent contrast and depth while maintaining a refined, romantic appearance.
Care Guide
October to November are the optimum months for planting Tulip bulbs. The cooler late-autumn temperatures help to keep disease at bay, whilst still allowing time for your bulbs to put roots down before spring.
Any well-drained, fertile soil is perfect for Tulips, ideally in full sun or part shade. Plant the bulbs 10-20 cm deep, spaced 10-20 cm apart. A piece of chicken wire or mesh can be placed on top of the soil or pots after planting if squirrels or rodents are a problem in your area.
After flowering in March to May, remove withered stems, foliage and any fallen petals to promote good plant health and apply a top dressing of high-potash fertiliser in late winter.
