Description
In Greek mythology, Iris is the goddess of the rainbow – the Iris flower is thus named due to the wide range of colours available. Our heavenly Dutch Iris ‘Rainbow Mix’ combines an array of these shades for a kaleidoscopic effect.
This assortment of superior varieties blends burnished bronze, soft lilac, intense indigo, deep burgundy, sunny yellow and pure white. The Orchid-shaped blooms feature silken petals, dancing amongst wiry foliage like fluttering butterflies. Dutch Iris perfectly fill the ‘May gap’ when there can otherwise be a hiatus of colour. Admired by florists and garden designers alike, this mix provides a ready-made bouquet of outstanding, long-lasting blooms.
Care Guide
Plant 8 cm deep and 10 cm apart in well drained soil in an open sunny position.
Best left undisturbed for as long as possible, but can be lifted and divided when necessary.
