Double Daffodil Ice King
N0274
Description
A royal, ruffled beauty to stand proud in any spring garden, showy Narcissus ‘Ice King’ is a glamourous bloom with subtle colouring on tall, strong stems.
A wide ivory perianth surrounds a luxurious, ruffled centre of clotted cream layers. This vigorous Daffodil will naturalise readily and flower reliably every April, adding a glamorous touch to garden borders and containers.
The large pompom-like blooms are impressive and long lasting, both in the garden and in the vase.
Care Guide
Plant Daffodil and Narcissi bulbs in autumn, ideally in mid September to early October to enable roots to establish before a period of cold in winter. A position in full sun or light shade is best and good drainage is essential. Daffodils and Narcissi are long lasting and naturalise well, providing a welcoming display every spring. Ideal for borders, containers, rock gardens and open grass. Plant the bulbs 10-20cm deep and apart, depending on variety. A good rule of thumb is to plant bulbs 2-3 times their depth. Flowers appear in March and April and should be deadheaded once faded. The foliage should be left to turn yellow and fade naturally on the plant as this helps to feed the bulbs for next year’s blooms.
