Large Trumpet Narcissi Orange Sunset
N0124
Description
Deliciously-scented and bold, Large Trumpet Daffodil ‘Orange Sunset’ boasts a crisp white perianth, overlapping slightly and holding a citrus orange trumpet - delivering punchy colour and sweet fragrance to the early spring garden.
Usually blooming between March and April, the large, funnelled trumpet first opens up in orange, before lightening to a rich yellow colour and fading into soft peach. A wonderful cut flower, large trumpet daffodil Orange Sunset lasts for days in the vase.
Scatter the bulbs of these pretty, sunproof show-stoppers and plant where they can naturalise and bloom year after year, announcing springtime.
Care Guide
Plant Daffodil and Narcissi bulbs in autumn, ideally in mid September to early October to enable roots to establish before a period of cold in winter.
A position in full sun or light shade is best and good drainage is essential. Daffodils and Narcissi are long lasting and naturalise well, providing a welcoming display every spring.
Ideal for borders, containers, rock gardens and open grass.
Plant the bulbs 10-20 cm deep and apart, depending on variety. A good rule of thumb is to plant bulbs 2-3 times their depth.
Flowers appear in March and April and should be deadheaded once faded. The foliage should be left to turn yellow and fade naturally on the plant as this helps to feed the bulbs for next year’s blooms.
