Hardy Gladiolus Charming Lady
M5480
Description
Slender spikes carry pale lilac-pink trumpets from midsummer onwards. Shorter than traditional gladioli, yet just as graceful.
Hardy Gladiolus Charming Lady is superb for cutting or filling mid-height gaps in sunlit borders. Requires free-draining soil and full sun. Stake lightly in exposed areas.
Care Guide
For early flowering, hardy Gladiolus, choose a warm and sunny, well-drained location.
Plant corms with the pointy side up, 8-10cm deep and 15cm apart in the soil. Provide consistent watering after planting and during dry spells, ensuring soil remains moderately moist.
Plant corms at intervals, every two weeks from spring until early summer for a staggered display.
Robust stems of elegant, sword-shaped blooms rise to heights of 60-75cm between June and August.
After flowering, remove spent and withered stalks and foliage and apply a mulch to the soil in late autumn.
