Description

The exceptional Jonquilla Narcissus ‘Sun Disc’ resembles the dazzling circle of the sun in a cloudless sky. With broad petals arrayed in proximity, the perianth forms an uninterrupted, unusually rounded shape, with a foreshortened eye at the centre. Glowing deep golden yellow, this daffodil captures the sun’s radiance, adding warmth to your garden even on a grey day. Especially rapid to increase, this variety is ideal for naturalising amongst lawns and borders – you will soon be basking in swathes of resplendent colour and sumptuous scent. Boasting an RHS Award of Garden Merit, ‘Sun Disc’ is a proven first-rate performer.

Care Guide

Plant Daffodil and Narcissi bulbs in autumn, ideally in mid September to early October to enable roots to establish before a period of cold in winter. A position in full sun or light shade is best and good drainage is essential. Daffodils and Narcissi are long lasting and naturalise well, providing a welcoming display every spring. Ideal for borders, containers, rock gardens and open grass. Plant the bulbs 10-20cm deep and apart, depending on variety. A good rule of thumb is to plant bulbs 2-3 times their depth. Flowers appear in March and April and should be deadheaded once faded. The foliage should be left to turn yellow and fade naturally on the plant as this helps to feed the bulbs for next year’s blooms.
