Paeony Flowering Tulip Blue Diamond
T1814
Description
Starting life as a saturated shade of violet-pink and fading to silvery lavender-blue with delicate veining, the larger than average blooms of tulip ‘Blue Diamond’ are an unmissable treat for the late spring garden.
Breath-taking when planted en masse in blocks and ribbons, and brilliant for spring containers, paeony-tulip ‘Blue Diamond’ is a perfect cut flower, ageing with grace both in the vase and in the garden.
Bright spring green foliage will intensify the colours as will orange and yellow hues.
Care Guide
October to November are the optimum months for planting Tulip bulbs. The cooler late-autumn temperatures help to keep disease at bay, whilst still allowing time for your bulbs to put roots down before spring.
Any well-drained, fertile soil is perfect for Tulips, ideally in full sun or part shade. Plant the bulbs 10-20 cm deep, spaced 10-20 cm apart. A piece of chicken wire or mesh can be placed on top of the soil or pots after planting if squirrels or rodents are a problem in your area.
After flowering in March to May, remove withered stems, foliage and any fallen petals to promote good plant health and apply a top dressing of high-potash fertiliser in late winter.

Leichtlinii Caerulea
M5203
One of the finest cultivars of Camassia, ‘Leichtlinii Caerulea’ bears slender stems of deep mauve-blue flowers during June.
Wonderful for bringing an enchanting look to early summer gardens with its pretty, statuesque spires, this charming camassia Leichtlinii Caeruleas is easy to grow and thrives in moisture-retentive soil, in sun or dappled shade. Wild meadow areas suit Camassias well, where the bulbs will naturalise freely amongst long grass. Plant in small groups or ribbons for striking effect.
The nectar-rich, long-lasting flowers are loved by bees and pollinators and make fabulous cut flowers, bringing sparkle and colour to bouquets and arrangements.

Viridiflora Tulip ‘Greenland’, sometimes referred to as ‘Groenland’, features a soft chalice shape and longer stems than many viridiflora tulip varieties making this one of the best for cutting.
The cupped flowers bloom in a pretty colour arrangement of rose-pink petals with a fresh green sweep along each centre.
Viridiflora tulips are known for being long-lasting in the garden, returning in late spring every year with their annual show of blooms.
Both in the vase and in the garden, tulip ‘Greenland’ combines beautifully with pastel pink and lilac shades as well as richer pinks and purples.
