Casa Blanca
L3086
A favourite, classic lily - Oriental hybrid ‘Casa Blanca’ holds a prestigious Award of Garden Merit for garden excellence, from the RHS.
Chic white blooms are flawless, with an air of timeless beauty.
Flowering proudly during late summer, the large blooms emit an unmistakeable and intense, sweet fragrance as they burst open. The recurved petals are unmarked and often feature a slightly hairy, textured surface. Burnt orange anthers balance on soft-green stamens.
A large vase full of these statuesque and immaculate lilies is hard to beat.
-
Gomera
L4002
Glitzy, fuchsia-pink petals and a strong perfume make Oriental hybrid lily ‘Gomera’ a wonderful choice, both in garden, and for cutting.
The large blooms bring plenty of pizazz to borders and beds when they flower in late summer, atop long, straight stems. A spidery cluster of green stamens glows above the almost-neon, rippling pink petals, holding velvet-powdered anthers. If growing as a cut flower, these can be removed gently to avoid any staining.
-
Hachi
L3861
Lily ‘Hachi’ is a masterpiece of nature’s artistry, with astonishing blooms characterised by striking markings. Sparkling white margins are set in stark contrast to broad, burgundy-cerise markings emblazoned along the centre of each petal, daubed like bold brush strokes on a blank canvas. From July to August, the star-shaped, upward facing flowers are an arresting sight amongst borders and large containers, reaching a height of 100cm. As a cut flower, this Oriental hybrid is a true work of art, distinguishing your bouquets and arrangements with confident colour, an impressive vase life, and superb scent.
-
Josephine
L3109
Sweetly fragrant Oriental Lily ‘Josephine’ is a popular, tall variety, perfect for enhancing your late summer borders with a lofty swathe of soft pink.
The candy-pink blooms feature a paler middle rib along the centre of each petal and a smattering of rust-orange freckles, matching their dusty anthers.
Ideal for group planting in a large, deep border where they will add elegant drama to a symphony of summer perennials during July and August.
Popular as a cut flower, ‘Josephine’ is long-lasting, scented and useful for large-scale displays and bouquets thanks to long stems and wide, upturned flowerheads.
-
Pink News
L4003
Lilium Oriental hybrid ‘Pink News’ is a superior lily for the garden and for cutting, in soft and romantic shades of rose-pink and white.
The sweet-scented flowers open during July and August and make a wonderful border and vase companion to pale blue flowers such as delphiniums and eryngium. Each long, straight stem produces several generously sized blooms.
For a pretty, late-summer patio display, plant the bulbs in deep pots of rich compost with added grit.
