Description

The large, mandarin-orange cup of Narcissus ‘Loveday’ pops against its buttercup-yellow perianth making this dazzling Daffodil one which stands out from the crowd when it blooms from early spring.  The petals appear gently brushed with white from the centre to the tip as blooms age and the outer edges curve pleasingly inwards.

Long, yet strong stems hold blooms aloft in the most challenging of weathers, making ‘Loveday’ brilliant for cutting and arranging.

Mass plant this colourful Daffodil for a bold spring look.

Care Guide

Plant Daffodil and Narcissi bulbs in autumn, ideally in mid September to early October to enable roots to establish before a period of cold in winter. A position in full sun or light shade is best and good drainage is essential. Daffodils and Narcissi are long lasting and naturalise well, providing a welcoming display every spring. Ideal for borders, containers, rock gardens and open grass. Plant the bulbs 10-20cm deep and apart, depending on variety. A good rule of thumb is to plant bulbs 2-3 times their depth. Flowers appear in March and April and should be deadheaded once faded. The foliage should be left to turn yellow and fade naturally on the plant as this helps to feed the bulbs for next year’s blooms.
