Description

The peach-pink cups of Narcissus ‘Fragrant Rose’ are beautifully enhanced by a crisp collar of white satin petals.  This heavenly Daffodil is scented of old English Roses, hence its name.

An overlapping clear perianth, neat apricot cup and unusual scent make ‘Fragrant Rose’ a highly sought-after cultivar for cutting.

Grow the bulbs where you will enjoy their perfume and exceptional beauty; in containers, garden borders or plant a striking swathe of spring through long grass.

Care Guide

Plant Daffodil and Narcissi bulbs in autumn, ideally in early October to enable roots to establish before a period of cold in winter.

A position in full sun or light shade is best and good drainage is essential. Daffodils and Narcissi are long lasting and naturalise well, providing a welcoming display every spring.

Ideal for borders, containers, rock gardens and open grass.

Plant the bulbs 10-20cm deep and apart, depending on variety. A good rule of thumb is to plant bulbs 2-3 times their depth.

Flowers appear in March and April and should be deadheaded once faded. The foliage should be left to turn yellow and fade naturally on the plant as this helps to feed the bulbs for next year’s blooms.
