Eremurus Rexone
M5314
Description
Eremurus ‘Rexona’ produces towering golden-bronze flower spikes packed with star-shaped blooms, creating a spectacular early-summer display full of height and drama. Rising like glowing torches above the border, the impressive stems of Eremurus ‘Rexona’ bring striking structure and movement to gravel gardens, sunny beds, and architectural planting schemes.
Best grown in a warm, sheltered position with well-drained soil, this dramatic perennial benefits from a protective winter mulch while establishing. Once settled, Eremurus ‘Rexona’ returns year after year with increasingly strong and commanding flower spikes, making it a true showpiece for midsummer gardens.
Care Guide
Grow aristocratic Eremurus in a sunny, well-drained site with light soil. Add a bed of sand to the planting hole if you garden on heavy soil. Plant the tuberous, spider-like roots 8-10 cm deep, spaced 30-60 cm apart in the earth. Place in groups of 3 or 5 for impact.
Provide consistent watering, ensuring the soil remains moderately moist particularly during dry spells of weather and whilst the roots settle in.
During winter, mulch the area around Foxtail lilies with leaf mould to enrich the soil and add protection against harsh weather.

Mixed, soft pastel shades of Multiflowering Hyacinths – fabulous for charming, perfumed indoor displays.
The bulbs may be potted up in late autumn, before placing undisturbed in a cool dark room to put down strong roots and delay flowering. Bring your potted bulbs out of storage at 12-16 weeks and place them in a warm, bright spot where they will burst into white, pink and blue blooms after 3-4 weeks.
Forcing bulbs is a popular way to enjoy spring flowers indoors, early in the year when the weather may still feel bleak outside.
To enhance the display, cover the soil surface with a little moss and use natural twigs as support for the flowering hyacinth stems if needed.
