Large Cupped Narcissi Gentle Giant
N0178
Description
Large Cupped Narcissus ‘Gentle Giant’ combines bold presence with elegant balance, producing broad white petals softly brushed with yellow at the base around a richly ruffled orange cup. The glowing centre of large cupped Narcissus ‘Gentle Giant’ brings warmth and depth to the spring garden, creating a sunrise-like effect that stands out beautifully in March and April displays.
Held proudly on sturdy stems, this impressive variety is perfect for planting in generous drifts, along pathways, or through large spring borders where its refined colouring and substantial blooms can be fully appreciated. Reliable and long lasting, it offers striking impact without overpowering surrounding planting schemes.
Care Guide
Plant Daffodil and Narcissi bulbs in autumn, ideally in mid September to early October to enable roots to establish before a period of cold in winter.
A position in full sun or light shade is best and good drainage is essential. Daffodils and Narcissi are long lasting and naturalise well, providing a welcoming display every spring.
Ideal for borders, containers, rock gardens and open grass.
Plant the bulbs 10-20 cm deep and apart, depending on variety. A good rule of thumb is to plant bulbs 2-3 times their depth.
Flowers appear in March and April and should be deadheaded once faded. The foliage should be left to turn yellow and fade naturally on the plant as this helps to feed the bulbs for next year’s blooms.
