Greigii Tulip Cape Cod
T1202
Description
Like watching a spectacular sunset over the sea, Greigii Tulip ‘Cape Cod’ offers an astonishing display of colour. This tulip owes its name to a peninsula in the US, famous for its stretches of sandy beach, lobster rolls, and its easy-going vibe. Echoing the best attributes of its namesake, the ‘Cape Cod’ tulip is characterised by lobster red petals fading to apricot, fringed by a flicker of sunshine yellow.
These vibrant blooms are underpinned by fascinating foliage, with grey-green leaves streaked with dark purple veining. This compact variety is ideal for adding a bright pop of colour to containers and along the front of your borders.
Care Guide
October to November are the optimum months for planting Tulip bulbs. The cooler late-autumn temperatures help to keep disease at bay, whilst still allowing time for your bulbs to put roots down before spring.
Any well-drained, fertile soil is perfect for Tulips, ideally in full sun or part shade. Plant the bulbs 10-20 cm deep, spaced 10-20 cm apart. A piece of chicken wire or mesh can be placed on top of the soil or pots after planting if squirrels or rodents are a problem in your area.
After flowering in March to May, remove withered stems, foliage and any fallen petals to promote good plant health and apply a top dressing of high-potash fertiliser in late winter.

Multiflowering White
H2802
A chic and beautifully fragranced White Multiflowering Hyacinth - perfect for forcing to create classic indoor pot displays in early spring.
These specially bred, premium quality bulbs will each produce several slender stems of loosely set, perfumed white multiflowering hyacinth floral bells.
Forcing bulbs allows you to enjoy the beauty and fragrance of spring flowers indoors, when the weather may still feel bleak outside.
We recommend potting the bulbs up in late autumn and placing containers in a cool dark area to put down strong roots and delay flowering. Bring your potted bulbs out of storage at 12-16 weeks and place them in a warm, bright spot where they will burst into bloom at 3-4 weeks.
To create a beautiful, natural display - cover the soil surface with a little moss and use twigs for support, as necessary.
de Jager only supplies the highest quality bulbs, making a huge difference in terms of flowering.
