May Flowering Tulip Muscadet
T1736
Description
May Flowering Tulip ‘Muscadet’ produces rich golden-yellow blooms that blaze brilliantly in the full May sunshine, each flower resembling a miniature sunburst above the border. Planted en masse, the glowing blooms of tulip ‘Muscadet’ create a dazzling display filled with warmth, energy, and long-lasting spring colour.
Strong in stature and reliable in performance, this vibrant variety brings cheerful vigour to borders, containers, and large seasonal plantings. Bold yet elegant, it delivers striking garden impact while retaining the classic grace of a late-flowering tulip.
Care Guide
October to November are the optimum months for planting Tulip bulbs. The cooler late-autumn temperatures help to keep disease at bay, whilst still allowing time for your bulbs to put roots down before spring.
Any well-drained, fertile soil is perfect for Tulips, ideally in full sun or part shade. Plant the bulbs 10-20 cm deep, spaced 10-20 cm apart. A piece of chicken wire or mesh can be placed on top of the soil or pots after planting if squirrels or rodents are a problem in your area.
After flowering in March to May, remove withered stems, foliage and any fallen petals to promote good plant health and apply a top dressing of high-potash fertiliser in late winter.
