Our ‘Gladioli Pastel Shades Mix’ is a romantic, delicate pairing of blooms, with soft petals seemingly made of silk. This demure trio features Nova Lux, White Prosperity and Rose Supreme.

Reaching a height of up to 120cm, these tall beauties stand gracefully amongst beds and borders, adding a whimsical, cottage garden charm. Large Flowered 'Pastel Shades Mixture' is unbeatable as cut flowers, bringing elegance and poise to arrangements. Snip just as the lower buds open and the remainder will gradually expand in the vase.

de Jager top quality, top size Gladioli are best grown in fertile, well-drained soil, in a sunny spot.  Plant the corms a week or two apart throughout spring for a long succession of pretty flowers between July and September.

Care Guide

To cultivate Gladioli, choose a sunny site with well-drained, well-manured garden soil. Dig a trench 15cm deep and place the corms 10-15cm apart, covering with soil and ensuring they sit 5cm below the surface. Water regularly, maintaining soil moisture until growth is established, and during hot, dry spells of weather. Stagger planting at two-week intervals to ensure continuous flowering over a long period. Expect stately, colourful spikes reaching 60-90cm in height which many require staking for support. The smaller variety ‘Glamini’ Gladioli will reach a maximum height of 50cm.
