Description

Dwarf Cyclamineus Daffodil ‘Prinses Amalia’ produces delicate white petals that flare gracefully back from a soft yellow trumpet, creating an elegant and refined spring display. Compact yet bright, the charming blooms of narcissus ‘Prinses Amalia’ are perfect for rock gardens, patio containers, and smaller borders where their graceful shape can be appreciated up close.

Flowering through April, this lovely variety thrives in well-drained soil and pairs beautifully with other early spring bulbs. Its understated beauty and neat habit bring subtle charm and freshness to the garden year after year.

Care Guide

Plant Daffodil and Narcissi bulbs in autumn, ideally in mid September to early October to enable roots to establish before a period of cold in winter.

A position in full sun or light shade is best and good drainage is essential. Daffodils and Narcissi are long lasting and naturalise well, providing a welcoming display every spring.

Ideal for borders, containers, rock gardens and open grass.

Plant the bulbs 10-20 cm deep and apart, depending on variety. A good rule of thumb is to plant bulbs 2-3 times their depth.

Flowers appear in March and April and should be deadheaded once faded. The foliage should be left to turn yellow and fade naturally on the plant as this helps to feed the bulbs for next year’s blooms.
