Description

Large Cupped Narcissus ‘Green Island’ produces beautifully rounded white petals of exceptional width, creating blooms so perfectly formed they appear almost circular. At the centre, the shallow frilled cup is delicately shaded from white to greenish-white, finishing with a cool greenish-lemon edge that gives large cupped narcissus ‘Green Island’ its distinctive and refined character.

Elegant, balanced, and remarkably well proportioned, this sophisticated variety brings freshness and subtle detail to spring borders, containers, and exhibition-style displays.

Care Guide

Plant Daffodil and Narcissi bulbs in autumn, ideally in mid September to early October to enable roots to establish before a period of cold in winter.

A position in full sun or light shade is best and good drainage is essential. Daffodils and Narcissi are long lasting and naturalise well, providing a welcoming display every spring.

Ideal for borders, containers, rock gardens and open grass.

Plant the bulbs 10-20 cm deep and apart, depending on variety. A good rule of thumb is to plant bulbs 2-3 times their depth.

Flowers appear in March and April and should be deadheaded once faded. The foliage should be left to turn yellow and fade naturally on the plant as this helps to feed the bulbs for next year’s blooms.
