Cyclamen (Corms) Cilicium
M5268
Description
Silver-patterned foliage forms a neat carpet beneath soft, nodding flowers in pink or blush. Autumn blooms emerge from cyclamen Cilicium just as the year declines—an elegant punctuation for shady corners.
Protect with mulch over winter. Plant corms shallowly, in woodland settings or rockeries where natural grace is welcome.
Care Guide
Plant your Cyclamen in a shaded location, in well-drained, rich soil.
Prefers shallow planting, 5cm deep, spaced 15cm apart in the soil. Provide moderate watering, keeping the soil consistently moist. Avoid waterlogging.
Delicate stems of dainty, upswept blooms rise to heights of 10-15cm from a bed of heart-shaped attractive foliage. Flowering period depends on particular variety.
After planting, leave undisturbed to settle and naturalise. Blooms may not appear until the second season.
