Description

Cyclamen Cilicium produces beautifully silver-patterned foliage that forms a neat ground-hugging carpet beneath delicate nodding flowers in soft pink and blush shades. Flowering in autumn as the garden begins to fade, the elegant blooms of Cyclamen Cilicium bring gentle colour and refined charm to shady borders, woodland gardens, and sheltered rockeries.

Ideal for naturalistic planting schemes, this graceful cyclamen thrives in well-drained soil with light shade, where its decorative leaves provide long-lasting interest beyond the flowering season. A protective winter mulch is beneficial in colder areas, while shallow planting helps the corms establish successfully year after year.

Care Guide

Plant your Cyclamen in a shaded location, in well-drained, rich soil.

Prefers shallow planting, 5 cm deep, spaced 15 cm apart in the soil.  Provide moderate watering, keeping the soil consistently moist.  Avoid waterlogging.

Delicate stems of dainty, upswept blooms rise to heights of 10-15 cm from a bed of heart-shaped attractive foliage.  Flowering period depends on particular variety.

After planting, leave undisturbed to settle and naturalise.  Blooms may not appear until the second season.
