These little nonconformists start green, turn deep magenta, and pop up like botanical exclamation marks. Sphaerocephalon (the name simply means ‘spherical head’) show up late (July-August), steal the spotlight, and somehow make it all look effortless. Low-maintenance, high impact. If your border needs a bit of quiet mischief, then this is the allium for you . Plant in clumps, stand back, and be suitably humble when you see the results.

5 x Purple Sensation Bulbs 14/+ in size

The classic allium and one of the most in demand…and for good reason. Bold, purple globes appear just when the garden needs a bit of late Spring theatre. These are your garden’s show-offs, but in the best possible way. Big, silvery-purple stars arranged in a loose firework of a flowerhead. Looks exotic, is easy to grow and not fussy on conditions. Leave the heads standing and they dry into natural sculptures. Christophii looks more akin to planting garden jewellery than a flower.
