30 Oxalis Triangularis Half Price
CAM33
Description
There is a serene kind of beauty in plants which never compete for attention... and Oxalis triangularis has this quality. Deep purple-violet leaves, which rather uniquely open through the day and then close at night – rhythmic, tranquil, and self-possessed.
The profusion of flowers appear in soft white with a pink blush and sit on lush green stems. These 'starry' blooms are petite enough to feel spontaneous, yet so bright and attractive they lift the mood of the surrounding area. Whether you grow your Oxalis in a patio pot, a kitchen window, or under glass in a conservatory, is of no consequence, because wherever they are planted your Oxalis seem to settle in as though they have always been there.
This HALF-PRICE offer is for 30 bulbs of Oxalis Triangularis. These 30 bulbs have a retail price with postage of £25.45. Your price WHILST STOCKS LAST is £12.50 with FREE delivery.
Among de Jager customers, Oxalis holds a reputation for winning hearts. This is because our gardeners notice how Oxalis softens a space, whether it be the steps, the stones, or the hard edges. Oxalis makes rooms feel lived in, patios and borders feel cared for. Perhaps this is why you see this stunning plant appearing everywhere – from city balconies to cottage borders, from hanging baskets to rock gardens.
Oxalis asks very little yet gives a sense of order and calm which is hard to describe... something which you will notice when it is part of your own garden. Maybe this is the secret to its charm – Oxalis feels personal.
When the leaves fold for night, the garden feels complete – and so do you. Every gardener has one plant which becomes their favourite. For so many, Oxalis is the one.
Delivery 7-10 days (whilst stocks last).
The dramatic foliage of Oxalis 'Triangularis Purpurea' truly sets this plant apart, creating a striking backdrop to the rose-pink, trumpet-shaped blooms. This remarkable species flaunts heart-shaped, trifoliate leaves of burgundy-black, each adorned with imperial purple markings at the centre.
The decorative, nyctinastic leaves provide a captivating spectacle as they awaken with the sun and close at night, opening and shutting like butterfly wings. Oxalis are versatile and multi-purpose – equally well-suited to rock gardens, patio pots, hanging baskets, and borders, they also make stunning houseplants.
Capitalise on the distinctive, intense colouring by planting alongside lush greenery or contrasting, yellow flowers for an eye-catching summer display.
Care Guide
Oxalis grows best in sun or part shade and are ideal plants for rockeries, containers and borders. They can also be grown indoors in pots in colder regions.
Plant the bulbs in late spring into any well-drained soil, 5cm deep and 10-15cm apart. Add a handful of slow-release fertiliser to the soil or compost if you are growing in pots.
Provide regular watering to keep the soil evenly moist.
Dainty flowers appear any time between April and November above the clover-like leaves.
In very cold regions, the bulbs should be lifted and stored in a frost-free place for winter.
