Care Guide
Plant Daffodil and Narcissi bulbs in autumn, ideally in mid September to early October to enable roots to establish before a period of cold in winter.
A position in full sun or light shade is best and good drainage is essential. Daffodils and Narcissi are long lasting and naturalise well, providing a welcoming display every spring.
Ideal for borders, containers, rock gardens and open grass.
Plant the bulbs 10-20 cm deep and apart, depending on variety. A good rule of thumb is to plant bulbs 2-3 times their depth.
Flowers appear in March and April and should be deadheaded once faded. The foliage should be left to turn yellow and fade naturally on the plant as this helps to feed the bulbs for next year’s blooms.

A magnificent, robust Iris, ‘King of the Blues’ is a handsome, tall English Iris which blooms during June and July. Strong stems reach 50-60cm and hold up the lush, dark blue flowers which stand up to wind and rain with ease, despite their fragile looks.
A burst of white flecks mark the velvety petals, surrounding a bright yellow tongue. Plant this stately Iris in groups for a dramatic midsummer display of moody blues.
Thrives in a well-drained, sunny spot where the bulbs will naturalise. Iris ‘King of the Blues’ makes an excellent cut flower. Cut when the buds just show some colour for a long-lasting display.

Narcissi ‘Canaliculatus’ is a terrific dwarf species, which valiantly punches above its weight. The name may be a tongue-twister, but the flowers are neat and sweet, with a milk-white perianth and a miniature canary yellow cup above handsome, blue-green foliage. With up to 4 heads carried in umbels, each stem seems laden with bowing blooms.
The compact size of this bantam variety lends itself to edging borders and rockeries and dotting amongst lawns. Capitalise on the soft scent by filling containers by the door. Short, sturdy stems are suitable for more exposed positions, where narcissus ‘Canaliculatus’ will hunker down contentedly and bloom unperturbed.

Like the voluminous, swishing crinoline skirts worn by Victorian ladies, Narcissi ‘White Petticoat’ sports a capacious, flared crown of crisp white cotton. Each shapely trumpet is nipped at the waist and girded by diminutive, pointed anthers.
These distinctive, unusual blooms are the height of style and flaunt their beguiling form by pirouetting lightly on wiry stems above fine foliage. This Narcissus bulbocodium is best admired up close in rockeries, alpine beds, and the fronts of borders and containers.
