Dutch Iris ‘Striped Tiger Mixture’ offers a striking blend of colours with exotic veining runs across petals in bold, tiger-like patterns. Strong vertical stems bear elegant blooms in midsummer.
A wonderful balanced mix of blue, bronze, lilac and purple, creating a luxurious warm-toned display. Iris 'Tiger Mix' is hardy and reliable in borders or as cut flowers. Best in full sun with well-drained soil. Plant deeply and enjoy consistent, eye-catching returns.
Cultivate Dutch Iris in a sunny area of the garden with free-draining soil.
Plant the teardrop bulbs in autumn with their pointy tips facing up, 10-15cm deep and 15cm apart in the soil. For best effect, grow in large groups.
Silky flowers in vibrant hues bloom during June and July on stems 50-95cm tall. Excellent for cutting. Leave some foliage behind to die back naturally and feed the bulb for next year’s flowers.
Bulbs will naturalise easily when left undisturbed in a warm, dry location.
